Complete Math and Reading & Writing preparation โ two dedicated specialists, one proven program. Average score improvement: +180 points.
Since 2024, the SAT is fully digital โ taken on a laptop or tablet through CollegeBoard's Bluebook app. The new format is shorter (about 2 hours 14 minutes), adaptive, and structured very differently from the old paper test.
The first SAT score is simply a starting point โ not a ceiling. In our experience, students who walk into their first SAT without dedicated preparation typically score in the 970โ1100 range. That's a normal baseline for an average student who hasn't yet learned the format, the strategies, or the time management the Digital SAT demands.
Students who begin structured preparation with us and return for their 2nd or 3rd attempt regularly achieve score gains of 180โ250 points โ bringing many into the 1200โ1350+ range. The improvement is real and consistent, but it is directly tied to the preparation done between attempts.
For students who are already strong performers โ those who scored 1400+ on their first attempt โ our program focuses on pushing toward the top of the scale. These students are often within reach of 1550โ1600, and targeted work on their specific weak points in Module 2 is what gets them there.
Our advice: don't be discouraged by an initial score, and don't stop after one attempt. The SAT is a learnable test โ and the data from our students proves it.
Each section has two modules. Performance on Module 1 determines the difficulty of Module 2 โ and the score range a student can achieve.
Fewer questions than the old SAT, but less time per question. Pacing and quick decision-making matter more than ever.
A graphing calculator is available for the entire Math section โ a major shift that rewards students trained to use it strategically.
Reading & Writing now uses short, single-question passages instead of long ones โ testing a broader range of skills at speed.
Module 1: 27 questions ยท 32 minutes
Module 2: 27 questions ยท 32 minutes
Total: 54 questions in 64 minutes
Module 1: 22 questions ยท 35 minutes
Module 2: 22 questions ยท 35 minutes
Total: 44 questions in 70 minutes
Mr. Sobaci personally leads all SAT Math preparation. With 15+ years of experience and a Master's in Mathematics from Rice University, he knows exactly which concepts the Digital SAT tests โ and how to master them efficiently. Sessions run every Saturday morning.
Linear equations, inequalities, systems, and functions โ the foundation of Module 1 mastery.
Quadratic equations, polynomials, exponentials โ the 700+ score separators on Module 2.
Ratios, statistics, probability, and data interpretation under timed conditions.
Area, volume, coordinate geometry, circles, and right-triangle trigonometry.
The Digital SAT allows a built-in graphing calculator. We train students to use Desmos strategically to save time and verify answers.
Module 1 vs. Module 2 pacing, question-skipping techniques, and time management under real test conditions.
Mr. David Cotton leads all SAT Reading & Writing preparation. His structured approach covers every question type in the RW section โ from Information & Ideas to Standard English Conventions.
Command of evidence, inference, and central ideas across literary and informational texts.
Words in context, text structure, purpose, and cross-text connections โ the trickiest RW questions.
Rhetorical synthesis, transitions, and building effective arguments โ high-value points for strong writers.
